The funding relationships section of the Ngā Wāhi Auaha Creative Spaces Conference 2024 is dedicated to exploring effective strategies for securing funding within the creative spaces sector. This segment includes insightful talks and workshops designed to enhance your understanding and skills in grant writing and engaging with potential funders and business partners.

Catherine, a lifelong Aucklander, with 13 years in funding at Creative New Zealand and Foundation North, she has extensive experience in theatre, dance, and festival sectors. At CNZ, she established the Assessment Services team for external assessments. Joining Foundation North in 2020, she leads a dedicated team of seven, reviewing around 900 applications annually. Catherine has also been a creative artist, independent producer, and was involved in establishing Q Theatre.

She has worked globally across corporate, government, and non-profit sectors, with a passion for empowering community-impacting individuals. Megan is deeply curious about how ideas evolve into actions, focusing on creativity, innovation, teamwork, and leadership. Skilled at facilitating problem-solving and planning, she excels at overcoming organisational hurdles. Additionally, Megan volunteers with Bellyful New Zealand, gaining first-hand insight into the challenges faced by small organisations.
This workshop will provide a scaffolded approach to engaging with business. She will explore the benefits of strategic partnerships and provide you with an approach that signals mutually positive benefits.
